Remember when stories used to be about something? Ya, back when people used to read more than just the news and stock quotes?
I love to read and even I'm bored by most of the crap published by the New Yorker. It is time for a renaissance.
Here's your chance--submit your best story. The point, above all else, is that it be good. New and cutting edge are
a great plus, we need movement (read: new and cutting edge does not mean it has to be a bunch of self-pitying, self-loathing
bs about how much your life sucks and you're on drugs, although these stories have their place as well, just keep in mind
that I'm a hard sell). Please, make it about something, and make it good!
